Toro Y Moi, Underneath the Pine

The album begins with a ghostly whisper. as it continues, moroccas, blended beats and silent grooves emerge to kick off the album. You start to appreciate it's beginnings when the second song rolls in, with it's furious-funky attitude. It instantly makes you crave a Brooklyn beauty bar, or some tiny overcrowded lounge in the heart of downtown somewhere.. dancing with those girls with bangs and with a 50's doo.. with an obnoxious jewelry collection to match...You devil you.

The rest of the album puts you in other places too.. He put the song "divina" an instrumental song that makes you feel like you're chillaxin' on a summer day. Toro's music isn't made to just sit there and mull about your life. Dance around! Get happy! Everything's gonna be alright. Find it hard to take Toro's music seriously? That's because it shouldn't! So put your dancing shoes on, your best outfit.. and get off your feet! Enjoy.
